Midas is a reserved, powerful individual. He usually takes residence in Hadath, but he also has villas in Auroria and Althar. He seems uninterested in showing off his magical or physical prowess, instead choosing to travel occasionally in search of magical artifacts that end up in the wrong places and returning home with them to keep them locked up safe and tight. In a personal museum. Loves his books and tomes and grimoires and scrolls. Believes that the future lies in knowledge, not power (though many would argue one is the other, he means in the general furthering of knowledge for all and the reduction of ignorance in all).

A strange bird that is both fond of Circe and knows his own inability to raise her properly for the outside world. Recognizes a part of himself from the past in her, though she is not nearly so power hungry. He still fears that following his old path, as she seeks to, might lead her to that end. 

Can say odd things at inopportune times, not used to others company. Used to keep a garden of statues that were his only company for many years following an incident with his magic. After that, he stopped pursuing magic and instead pursued incredibly powerful magic artifacts in order to keep them away from the wrong hands/claws/paws/hooves, what have you. 

He can be weirdly specific. Those who are aware of the masked owl's physiology occasionally realize that rather than being limited to only three eyes, he in fact has twice as many - which makes him twice as observant as they would usually assume.
